Red & gray glitter nails

3 Nov

Here’s a cool idea for weekend festive nails:
Get a red nailpolish, a grey one and another one with red and grey glitter.

I wanted to have a hint of colour only on my ring fingers, therefore I applied the grey nailpolish in two layers on every nail except those two fingers where I applied one layer of deep red polish.
On top of every nail I added a layer of glitter, and as you can see the base colour brings out different particles from the glitter polish, you could even say I used two different glitter shades!
Don’t forget to add a top coat to protect the colours!

Smart TIP: to get a cheap nailpolish to last longer, use glitter on top. (Glitter polishes wear off harder than a normal polish)

I used cheap nailpolishes for this manicure but I will do it again with better products, maybe to wear a similar idea for the Christmas party!

Here’s what I ended up with, where would you wear this kind of nails?

I wish you….no really, i DO.

27 Dec

Well, since 2012 is almost here, it’s time to do the same as everybody else and wish you something for this new year that’s yet to come. Santa may have brought you what you wanted (or not) but try to see things like this: If you make a wish, make sure YOU make it happen. Stop blaming others for what you don’t have or for what you cannot achieve. I’m pretty sure you can accomplish everything you want, so I start by wishing you the COURAGE to stand up to all the stereotypes and judgmental people and DO whatever you want, fulfilling your dreams.

I wish you freedom, adventure and great friendships.

I wish you a clear mind, to see great opportunities and ideas.

I wish you an open heart, to welcome in everyone who deserves it and to take out those who cause you pain.

I wish you great health, so you can focus on your dreams without any obstacles.

I wish you calm when everything fails around you and strength to start over.

I wish that you enjoy beauty everyday, in any form.

I wish that if the moment comes, you will be able to stand for the things you believe in.

I wish that you won’t give a fuck about miscellaneous things.

but most importantly, i wish you LOVE. Strange, original, crazy…..you name it. I wish that next year you’ll enjoy love, the love you want and you deserve. The kind of guy that kisses you in the middle of the street for no reason. [be that guy or get that guy].

so, have a great year and make 2012 the biggest adventure of your life.

I love you all,

What if it doesn’t snow for Christmas?

28 Nov

A friend of mine just posted this on his Facebook wall, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hawOAtZcW9o . It’s Joe Pesci’s If it doesn’t snow for christmas song…. never heard of it before, not my alltime favorite but it certainly gave me something to write about.

I ♥ snow, i’m not madly in love with it, but i love the snowy weather and the holidays that come with it… or at least I hope they will…

Still, what if it doesn’t snow for Christmas? I’ll be sad. It wouldn’t be the first time, but for the last few years we had so little snow for Christmas that I almost got used to it. However, not a year goes by without recalling the awesome memories of my childhood when everything was so deep covered in snow, especially the morning after the first snowfall when you wake up and look outside the window and get blinded by the light reflected in the snow. Painful, but beautiful.

I’m a big fan of beauty found in small things, so I consider snow to be. beauty in small things, small unique snowflakes. This middle of october I was at the mountains in Fundata-Cheile Gradistei and it started snowing like crazy after a foggy, cold day. When we left Bucharest it was late summer, we found autumn in the noon and winter at night. It was absolutely fabulolus to see how in 4-5 hours everything went white and perfect. Snow-fight like those in childhood, hot cinnamon red wine, inadequate clothes for such a weather, friends and fun. This is the memory of my first snow this year and I hope I’ll get to make at least another memory like this by the end of the year. 😀

Do you remember the last time you enjoyed snow? I most certainly do.

By the way, it WILL snow for Christmas. I can feel it will.
